Swedish, late 19th century. Pair of birch armchairs in the style of Biedermeier, having a scrolled crest rail over a pierced splat back with a fleur-de-lis, painted black, with sloping arms terminating in scrolled handrails, on four tapering legs with a natural linen upholstered seat with a black corded border. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 36.125", width 22.25", seat depth 19", seat to floor 19".
