Paul Insect (British, 1971) TARGET NO . 11 RCI Silkscreen on paper Signed and dated in pencil lower right "Paul Insect" Numbered in pencil lower left "54/150" with POW blindstamp 16 by 40 3/4 inches Paul Insect is a U.K. based street artist whose reputation became widespread following his 2007 solo exhibition Bullion at London's Lazarides gallery. RCI is an acronym for "Resource Critical Item" and thus the title becomes integral to the our understanding of the print. It is hard to tell whether the soldier is either a military target or in pursuit of an essential target but Insect's six color screenprint creates the illusion of a soldier rapidly approaching the viewer. $300-500 Categories: PAUL INSECT
