Pair of Ming influenced chairs with cushioned seat by Baker Furniture in the manner of designer Michael Taylor; measure approximately 32-3/4" high, 25-5/8" wide, with a seat depth of 17-1/4" and seat height of 19", each. Marked with placard to bottom, first used in the 1940s. The crown over "B" denotes Dutch tradition and the tulip signifies craftsmanship. This logo is still used today. In Good condition, consistent with age and wear.In 1890, Dutchmen Siebe Baker and Henry Cook opened the Baker furniture company, operated as Cook & Baker. 1915 saw Baker becoming the single owner and Baker Furniture emerged. Through generations the company furniture lines have been inspired by world-renowned designers.
