Antique H. P. Hood & Sons iron canister; marked "H.P. Hood & Sons 1939 Registered" on brass plaque to side of canister; measures approximately 13-1/2" tall and 7-7/8" in diameter at the base; in fair condition with much chipping to paint and holes to bottom. The Hood Company, a Massachusetts company, owned three milk-receiving stations in New York. The company distributed milk from these facilities in Boston.
