Continental, likely Italian, 20th century. A domed casket form dresser or jewelry box, with pierced silvered metal overlay on gilt metal ground, decorated overall with mythological creatures, including gryphons, dragons, and phoenixes, acanthus leaves, and scrolls. Hinged lid lifts to reveal an blue velvet lined interior, with two lower lined drawers, all with locking gilt key escutcheons. Upper lock stamped "LEVER". Approximate height 7.1", width 8.2", depth 5.75".
