Spanish Colonial, 19th century. A carved and vibrantly polychromed wood figure of an angel standing in full length in European style dress comprising a bright pink drape over shoulder atop a gilt decorated maroon and green floral dress split above each knee to reveal calf-height sandals, the figure with cherubic face framed by long dark curled hair, with pressed metal wings attached to shoulders at back, altogether raised on an integral rectangular plinth base with chamfered corners. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 22.25", width 11", depth 6.25".
