English, late 19th century. An English Aesthetic Movement four-tiered bamboo etagere, having dark stained and tortoiseshell motif bamboo sides and back in a Chinese fretwork motif, and four painted and embossed gesso shelves, each decorated with yellow and brown stylized floral tile motifs. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 49.5", width 36.5", depth 12.5".
