Bucolic figural landscape painting with Barbizon School handling of light, most noticeably in the sky, depicting a fisherman seated on the near bank of a calm pond as cattle graze nearby. with dense forest framing the scene at the left and a village in the distance. Framed approximately 21.5" x 29.5". Unframed approximately 31.75" x 29.5".
