Chinese, Qing Dynasty, likely 19th century. A red and black lacquered wood censer stand comprising square base with cloud shaped corners issuing four curving legs on c-scroll feet joined at top by domed and shaped apron altogether surmounted by conforming platform at top on an incurvate pierced neck, the whole carved with figural, floral, geometric, and foliate decoration, most notably to lower platform with qilin galloping amid clouds and to top platform with an elder riding in carriage drawn by two deer. Unmarked. Approximate height 19.25", width 12.5" x 14.
