Maker's Mark PM, Copenhagen, Late 18th/Early 19th Century having two floral decorated handles, the lid surmounted by a bird and oak leaf finial, the body and lid with floral swag and roundel decorated banding, raised on four paw feet. marked on underside 44 ozt 16 dwt Width 11 inches. Property from the Estate of Rita Dee Hassenfeld, Palm Beach, Florida In overall decent, stable, usable condition. Light to moderate surface scratches throughout consistent with polishing and use. Areas of tarnish and polish remnants to recesses. Bird finial loose but attached, possibly associated to tureen. Makers mark possibly overstriking an earlier mark. Areas of possible solder repair where legs meet body.
