of elongated octagonal form, decorated throughout to show figures within court scenes. Height 6 3/4 x width 14 x depth 10 1/2 inches. 19TH CENTURY. In overall good, stable condition. Lacquer mostly intact but with some splitting and minor areas of loss mostly near the keyholes in front. Top and drawer both open and close smoothly. Both with lock but no key. Contains many but not all of the carved sewing implements to interior. Additional images available upon request.
