A lavender bouclé Chanel style custom-made ensemble circa 1960s. The Swiss-made ensemble consists of a cardigan jacket with floral lamé detailing, quilted silk lining with a gilt chain for weight, and a sleeveless dress with a floral lamé bodice and bouclé skirt. The jacket has a label that reads "Ady L. Fischer Lausanne." Both pieces have hand finishing details. Chanel often charged other ateliers a fee to view the fashion shows and create well constructed copies. It is a possibility that the suit is based on Chanel construction. The suit was gifted to the consignor by Frances Heflin Talbot, the former wife of Van Heflin. Talbot noted that she was gifted the suit from Oona O'Neill Chaplin after she complimented her on how lovely the suit was. EST. $300-500 Categories:
