Provenance: A signed note signed "Dryden Clark" found inside the drawer reads: "Dr. Clyde A. Clark, my Grandfather, purchased this desk from the Shakers in Enfield, Ct. for my father Foster D. Clark when he was a boy, and has remained in my family since then."
