Attributed to Zedekiah Belknap (American, 1781-1858) Lot of Two Portraits: Mary Ann Hazard and Josiah Fisk Everett, 1830s. Unsigned. Oil on panel, 24 1/4 x 18 1/2 in., in original giltwood frames. Condition: Good, minor retouch. N.B. Mary Ann Hazard, born March 13, 1813, in Warwick, Rhode Island, married Josiah Fisk Everett, born November 14, 1808, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, on February 15, 1829. Zedekiah Belknap, born 1781, in Auburn, Massachusetts, became an itinerant artist after graduation from Dartmouth College. As a traveling artist, he used bright colors and personalized details of hair and costume.
