Isidor "Grandpa" Sommer (American, 1867-1949) Lot of Two Paintings: "Hunting in the Winter" and "Swan Watching #9. " Signed "Great Grandpa Sommer" and "Grandpa Sommer" l.r., respectively, identified in annotations on the reverse. Oil on canvasboard, 13 1/2 x 17 1/4 in., in gilt frames. Condition: The first with varnish inconsistencies and craquelure, the second with very minor retouch. N.B. Isoidor Sommer was a self-taught artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Late in life he began painting and selling his work.
