William Frederick de Haas (Dutch/American, 1830-1880) Landscape Vignette of a New Hampshire Lake Scene and Distant Mountain. Signed "Wm. F de Haas" l.r., identified and dated "Maplewood" l.l., with annotation "Votre tres humble + tres obeisant serviteur" l.r. Mixed media including watercolor on paper, 5 1/4 x 7 3/4 in., in a molded wood frame. Condition: Scattered staining, toning, and foxing marks, not examined out of frame. N.B. De Haas was a frequent exhibitor at the National Academy after 1865.
