Queen Anne Walnut Side Chair, Boston, 1740-60, the yoked crest rail continues to reverse-curved tapering stiles with chamfering in the back flanking the vasiform splat on a trapezoidal molded slip seat and a cyma-curved front rail with side shaping over frontal cabriole legs on pad feet joined to the blocked raked rear legs by similar stretchers, old surface, 20th century gold with white silk and linen, (very minor imperfections), ht. 40 3/4, seat ht. 18 1/2 in.
