Sacro Fratelli (Italian, mid-19th Century) Miniature Portrait of Gustavis Tuckerman Jr. Signed and dated "Sacro Fratelli 1847" l.r. and inscribed on paper within the opening on the reverse "Gustavis Tuckerman (Jr.), Born Edgbaston (?), England, May 15th 1824, Died New York, February 12, 1897; Painted in Palermo, Italy, 1847 by Sacro Fratelli." Watercolor on ivory, 3 x 2 1/2 in., in an oval engine-turned gilt-metal frame within a rectangular papier-mâché frame inlaid with abalone floral decoration.
