Classical Grain-Painted and Decorated Dressing Table , probably New England, c. 1820-40, the scrolling crest over two short drawers and projecting top with rounded corners on conforming base with single drawer joining ring-turned and incised tapering legs, all over grain paint resembling rosewood highlighted by stencils of fruit bowls and scrolling leaves and flowers, gold, green, and black line decoration, (minor imperfections), ht. 39, wd. 30, dp. 15 1/4 in.
