Eugene Grandin (French, 1851-1909) The American Packet Ship Mercury. Signed and dated "Eug. Grandin Havre 1854" l.r. and titled below, the ship shown by an iceberg. Mixed media including watercolor, gouache, and graphite on paper, sight size 7 1/2 x 10 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Scattered minor stains and abrasions, not examined out of frame. N.B. The Mercury was built by Westervelt and McKay and was one of nine packets in the LeHavre line.
