Attributed to Raffael Corsini (Turkish, ac. Symrna, 1830-1880) Florence of Boston Wm. G Blackler Commander, Smyrna 1833. Unsigned, titled below, shown off Smyrna flying an American flag and blue and white house flag "F." Mixed media including watercolor, gouache and graphite on paper, 17 x 22 in., in a molded gilt frame. Condition: Hinged to mat, minor loss to upper left corner, a few scattered foxmarks, light toning. N.B. A plaque affixed to the frame reads "Built in Medford 1831 by Sprague and James as Supercargo Benjamin Shreve of Salem departs June 1833 Boston to Batavia & returns April 1834."
