(Revolutionary War, Congress) Manuscript copy of the Resolves of Congress, Philadelphia, October 2nd, 1778, folio, extracted from the minutes, attested as true by Charles Thomson, Secretary, concern ing speculative purchasing of the scanty supplies of wheat and corn depriving the Army of said supplies and resolving to seize flour and corn at a given price and empowering commissioners to carry out this mission and to enforce an embargo of goods abroad, (tape repairs).
