Attributed to Clarissa Russel (American, 1809-1854) Miniature Portrait of Susan Smith Heath. Unsigned. Watercolor on ivory, 2 3/4 x 2 1/4 in., mounted in a brass frame. Condition: Retouch l.r. and c.l. N.B. An inscription on the back reads: Susan Smith Heath painted by Mrs. Russel." A label affixed to the reverse of the frame reads: "Susan Smith Heath sister of Sarah A. Smith Hibbard, painted by a Mrs. Russel, Boston."
