Condition: Lined, minor scattered retouch, varnish inconsistencies. Provenance: From the artist to the family of the present owners. N.B. Ruth Linnell Berry was born in Watertown, Massachusetts in 1909. After graduating from Radcliffe College in 1930, Berry studied with numerous local artists including Otis Philbrick and Aldro Thompson Hibbard. In 1933, she was among the first female artists asked to join the Boston Art Club.
