Julian O. Davidson (American, ac. 1877-1894) The Floating Chinese Village, Her Masks Pointed Like Skeleton Fingers to the Sky, and Chinese Oarsmen at Work. First and last signed "J.O. Davidson" l.r. Mixed media including pen and ink, gouache and graphite on paper, 4 3/4 x 7 1/2, 3 1/2 x 7 1/4, and 2 1/4 x 5 in., respectively, framed together under one mat. Condition: The first with two extraneous numerical annotations, all with scattered fox marks, slight toning, not examined out of frame. N.B. Davidson illustrated shipping and marine subjects for Harpers, Century, and Aldine's Magazine; and was exhibited at the National Academy of Design.
