Shaker Cherry Roll-top Writing Box, Enfield Connecticut Community, late 19th century, the lid having a brass knob, the interior fitted with brass topped ink and sander and a label inscribed "Trustee's office second family R. H. Van Deusen," and containing a bank share dated 1890, 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 x 5 in. Provenance: Hazel Hayes Collection; Avis H. Howells Collection. Note: R. H. Van Deusen was the agent for the second family of the Enfield Connecticut Community.
