Brown, March 15th 1830, watercolor and ink on paper, two pages of verse inscribed with various forms of lettering arranged within handpainted geometric shapes in shades of green, brown, and yellow, titled "LET THE PEN LIVE EFFORTS OF PENMANSHIP AMENDMENT," scattered staining, edge losses, fading, toning, 20 x 16 in., matted. Note: Accompanying the exercise is her sheet brass and tin stencil stamped "Evelina S. Hyde" enclosed in a leafy border.
