White Cotton Quilt, Chazy, Clinton County, New York, mid-19th century, hand-sewn with feather and diamond quilting, centered with a round medallion within a square panel, surrounded by a wide swag border, (minor scattered staining), 81 x 67 1/2 in. , accompanying the quilt is a book, Beecher, Catherine E. and Harriet Beecher Stowe, THE AMERICAN WOMAN'S HOME , J.B. Ford & Co., New York, 1870. Provenance: The book is signed by Augusta Loomis, Chazy, New York, probably maker of the quilt.
