Redware Coffeepot, England or America, late 18th century, domed cover with fluted acorn finial, baluster-form pot with engine-turned decoration, applied ear-form handle with embossed foliate motifs, clear lead glaze, (chips and minor scratches), ht. 11 1/4 in. Literature: A similar coffeepot was illustrated and identified as being made by Millville Pottery in Concord, New Hampshire in a magazine article by Sarah B. Sherrill, "Current and Coming" in The Magazine ANTIQUES , September 1981, p. 424. A copy of the article accompanies the lot.
