Two-Piece Lady Doll's Dress in Indigo Silk, c. 1870, for large doll, swallow-tail jacket with three-quarter sleeves, round figured brass buttons and black lace trim, shaped at waist to create wider hips, flat front, fully-lined skirt with extra fullness and slight sweep in back, two rows of pleated ruffles at hem (minor splits in silk), to fit 28 - 30 inch doll, shoulders 8 1/2, dress lg. 24 in. Provenance: Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford, Connecticut.
