Thomas Virgil (Pan Yo Pin, Summer Mountain) (Native American, Tesuque Pueblo, 1889-1 960) Pueblo Dancers. Signed "Pinayo Pin, Tesuque" l.r. Gouache on toned paper, 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (sight), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. N.B. Pan Yo Pin was an important figure in the rise of the modern school of pueblo painters. A series of exhibitions starting in the late 20s featured his work along with the works of Awa Tsireh, Fred Kabotie, Quah Ah, and Otis Polelonema.
