Four Pairs of Athabascan Hide Moccasins, c. early 20th century, two pairs of men's moccasins with trade cloth vamps partially beaded with multicolored floral devices, an undecorated pair of woman's moccasins, and a child's pair, all made with native tanned hide, (insect damage), ht. to 17 in. Provenance: Lillian G. Moore Wood (1878-1916). Miss Lillie Moore moved to Valdez Alaska in 1898, the first woman to do so, and became a very influential property owner.
