Four Folk Art Canes, America, 19th century, a popper cane with a cast iron duck head handle and bulb-shaped terminal on a wooden shaft, which would explode when a cap placed in the contraption at the base end hit against the pavement; one with handle featuring a carved head of a man with an alligator along the side with applied nail eyes; one with a stylized body of a black man; and one with a dog head handle fitted with a glass eyes, (one eye missing), lg. 33 1/2, 35, 37, 36 1/2 in.
