Grained Pine and Maple Chest, Hadley-Deerfield area, Massachusetts, c. 1720s, the hinged top with molded inside edge lifts above a case with a molding above the cavity which has simulated drawer fronts above the two lower working drawers flanked by channels with half round moldings and recessed paneled sides on a molded base and block and ring turned pine legs, with 18th century black painted decoration on a red ground (restoration), ht. 45 1/4, wd.
