Polychrome Painted and Decorated Double-sided Wood Tavern Sign, New England, late 18th century, the sign is flanked by baluster-turned posts suspending a bentwood frame oval depicting a painted eagle with an American shield on one side and a leapard with foliage on the reverse, the shaped pediment and pendant includes black lettering which reads "1773" and "M. Wright" respectively, wrought iron hardware, (imperfections), ht. 53 3/4, wd. 23 1/4 in.
