Aldad Joyero Spanish sterling silver double handled lidded trophy of urn form on round foot with beaded band, surmounted by cup form with band at top of foliate patterning, with c form handles to either side of cup with acanthus leaf decoration, the round lid decorated to rim with acanthus leaf tips and with a berried finial, engraved to front "Harry C. Radon winner 1955 Championship Backgammon Tournament Metropolitan Club". Marked to foot "Aldad-Joyero" beside a hexagonal cartouche maker's mark and a star within a circle". Overall approximately 12" tall, 13" handle to handle. Total approximately weight 34.7 troy ounces.
