Door of Hope School Boy Doll, China, early 20th century, doll with delicately carved head and hands, short side-part hair, pink lip color, very clean pear wood with hint of cheek blushing, cloth body, gray trousers, pink silk tunic lined in blue silk, bright blue jacket with frog closings, black shoes (slight wear to tips of shoes), clothing very crisp and bright, with round paper tag marked School boy and illegible numbers, possibly the original price, ht. 8 in.
