Lambert Magician Automaton, with papier-mache head, articulated tongue, hands holding wand and a metal cup, standing behind magician's table, the open-spring mechanism in the base playing two airs and causing the figure to tap the cup with his wand, then lift the cup to disclose a series of four changing items (replaced), all the while turning his head, sticking out his tongue and looking down at the table as the trick is concluded, ht. of figure 19 in., overall 26 in., (poorly redressed and repainted, modifications to base and mechanism).
