Provenance: Through Dina Vierny, founder of the Musee Maillol, Paris, to a private New England collection. Literature: Galerie Dina Vierny, Maillol , 1987, photographed page 124. The lot is accompanied by a copy of this book. N.B. The lot is accompanied by a photo-certificate from Dina Vierny. Vierny notes that the hands are meant to represent those of musician Claude Debussy. There is extremely minor and subtle wear to the surfaces.
