Auguste Paul Charles Anastasi (French, 1820-1889) On the Banks of the Seine Signed or inscribed "AUG. ANASTASI 1860" l.l., identified on a period label affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 7 x 10 in. (17.8 x 25.4 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, minor scattered losses, surface grime. The retouch is scattered dots and dashes. The craquelure is fine for the most part, but has several minute areas of concentration, and these are accompanied by tiny losses. The work might benefit from cleaning.
