Kraakware Bowl, China, 17th century, the interior painted with radiating panels and central round reserve each depicting a figure offering an object to a robed gentleman, each panel with a different scene and object, alternating with upright flower blossoms, the exterior with panels depicting the figures beside a river with ducks and European houses in the background, each panel surrounded with a border of scrolls, alternating with tulips, the bowl supported on a low footring, vestiges of gilding, (hairline, rim chips), ht. 6 1/4, dia. 14 in.
