Federal Mahogany Veneer String-inlaid Cylinder Desk, Middle Atlantic States, c. 1810, the rectangular top above three cockbeaded short drawers and projecting case of a lid opening to an interior of central prospect door flanked by four valanced compartments and a drawer, with pullout writing surface with inset tooled leather and three faux drawers, on a case of three cockbeaded drawers, all resting on French feet, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 48 3/4, wd. 46, dp. 21 3/4 in. Note: Pencil inscription on back of interior drawer appears to read "Joseph Bonaparte Bordentown".
