Paint-decorated Six-board Chest, probably Guilford, Connecticut, c. 1825, the hinged top with applied rounded edge opens to a well with lidded till on a box with applied molding at base, cutout ends, original surface painted green with black and yellow striped borders centering a meandering red-flowering vine, which also appears on the top and sides, (minor imperfections), ht. 22, wd. 49, dp. 17 1/4 in. Old surface would proably birghten if cleaned; minor paint loss and scratches; left corner of molding chipped; wear to applied molding and base;
