Lothrop, Boston, c. 1810, the molded cornice with applied spherules above molded pilaster with spiral twists flanking the stencil and free-hand painted tablet of a sailing vessel flying the American flag and mirror below, backboard bears the label of the maker, (minor imperfections), lg. 24 1/2, wd. 14 1/2 in. Minor restoration to the gilding; minor restoration to the tablet; tablet probably original.
