Attributed to Rufus Porter (American, 1792-1884) Pair of Miniature Portraits of Charles Sherwin and His Wife Hanna. Unsigned. The sitters identified in an inscription on the reverse also reading "came from Warwick Mass to Windham, Vt." Watercolor on paper, c. 1830, depicting profile bust portraits of the couple, sight sizes 3 3/8 x 2 3/4 in., in original oval eglomise mats and molded giltwood frames. Condition: Foxing, minor toning. Note: Ex collection of Judy Lennett; an inscription on the reverse reads: "Lot 1266 Parke Bernet May 3, 1980."
