Alfred Olschewski (Prussian/American, 1921-2001) Crowd Signed "OLSCHEWSKI" l. c. Mixed media with collage on canvas, 36 x 72 in. (91.4 x 182.8 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle surface grime. N.B. Alfred Olschewski, born in East Prussia (now part of Russia), and lived in Germany and Brazil before settling in Massachusetts in 1961. Olschewski experimented with a variety of media, but is best known for his multimedia collages and pen and ink drawings. His work has been exhibited at the DeCordova Museum, the Fitchburg Art Museum, and the Boston Copley Society. Additionally, he has worked as an illustrator, textile designer, and teacher.
