Pierre Ernest Ballue (French, 1855-1928) Hors Concours- Automne Signed "Pierre Ballue. " l.r., identified in a later inscription on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 21 1/4 x 28 3/4 in. (54.0 x 73.0 cm), framed. Condition: Patch reinforcement, scattered retouch, losses, surface grime. The patch is 1 inch, to the upper center. There are small losses scattered to the center, and within the leaves of the trees to the left; more may occur in the future. There are minor scattered dots of retouch. The paining would benefit from cleaning.
