Compound Microscope by Henry Crouch, No. 568, with rackwork coarse focusing, tube engraved H. Crouch, 51 London Wall, London , Lister limb on shaped trunnions, rectangular stage with damascened finish and stage-clips, concave mirror on compass joint and sliding collar, and blackened brass Y-foot, ht. closed 12 in., in fitted mahogany case (split to front, lid glued) containing two eyepieces, two objectives in signed H. Crouch cannisters (2/3 and 3-inch), and an unsigned empty cannister. Lacquer appears to be in excellent original condition, one focusing wheel loose, untested. Loose sections in the case for items that are no longer present.
