Italian Left Hand Dagger, c. 1600, with slender tapering blade of diamond cut, narrow fullers on one side, grooved for thumb on the other, iron grip with ring guard, strongly arched quillons with lobed tip, fluted pommel, and later wire-bound grip, 12 3/4 blade, 18 1/8 in. overall. Provenance: Collection of Allan Klein, Sotheby's New York, January 15. 1991.
