Connecticut Militia Spontoon, c. 1820, with double-edged leaf-shaped iron blade, and turned red-painted shaft with the original finish, lg. 73 in. Provenance: Hezekiah Edgerton, a member of the Connecticut Light Artillery, who was a corporal in 1818. He maried into the White family, in whose house in Coventry it was found.
